Hout Bay offers some good options for beginner surfers and boards and lessons can be arranged. For more experienced surfers, Llandudno is a great option only 10min drive over the hill. For adrenaline junkie surfers, dungeons at the base of the sentinel apparently offer some great waves although not easy to get to.
